On 21 July 2018, Xiamen Aquatic Competition (XACT) was held by XMUM Swimming Club after 3-month preparation. The competition has attracted approximately 50 participants from various programmes of the university.

Participants gave their best performance in the different categories of the competition: the best time was 45.985” for 50m Male Breaststroke, 32.72” for 50m Male Freestyle, 102.955” for 100m Male Breaststroke, 77.03” for 100m Male Freestyle, 163.33” for 4 X 50m Male Relay, 16.13” for 25m Male Breaststroke, 11.925” for 25m Male Freestyle and 63.505” for 50m Female Breaststroke. A water polo game was organized after the prize giving ceremony for all the participants to relax and enjoy themselves.

Encouraged by the success of this competition, XMUM Swimming Club would plan and organize more exciting events in the future to encourage sportsmanship and promote healthy lifestyles.
